Thank you so much to the Friends of Studham Common, family and friends who supported me and the Women V Cancer charity at the Studham Picnic on Sunday 21 June.  Together we raised an amazing £339!!!

I would certainly not have been able to achieve this without the ‘can do’ attitude of the Friends of Studham Common.  We needed bibs and a football for the walking football, they sorted it.  We needed a whistle for the referee, Sven Svenssonsson, they sorted it.  They had ideas about the egg and spoon race and the sack race, all of which worked.  So a big ‘Thank you’ for all your help.

We had a ‘Champion Dad’ who won the egg and spoon race and the sack race.  They were awarded a specially made medal (made by the Friends) and a specially commissioned t-shirt (made by my daughter Chloe).

Sven, (I am sure you remember is my personal trainer https://youtu.be/LUJ7hzv8R10), refereed the walking football, and also played.  Not sure how that worked but it did.

The local pub, The Red Lion, supported donations to the three charities and also had a jazz band that started at 4pm.  It was a lovely end to an eventful day.
